Painter, Illustrator and Graphic Designer, Karen Howard began her art career 22 years ago when she recieved her BFA from Missouri State University and moved to Chicago to pursue a career as a graphic designer. Her love for illustration and painting kept her creating in her spare time as she climbed the ladder of the Advertising world. Before long Karen had become well known for her illustration and award-winning logo design. Several cities and a couple of kids later, Karen has built a thriving business around her painting and illustration. Her work includes watercolor and oil portraits, landscapes, and prismacolor illustration. She has also been commissioned to paint murals in several schools around the country. Karen is constantly searching for new avenues of creativity. She is currently working on a book of illustrations and poetry to be presented to a publisher sometime in the near future.
